Grape variety: 100 % Blauburgunder
Terroir: The grapes for the Pinot Nero Classico are picked from young vines and come partly from Mazon and partly from a different estate, leased especially for the production of Pinot Nero Classico. The sandy clay soil, the wind from Lake Garda and the afternoon sun provide the perfect conditions for the vines. Blauburgunder, characteristic of the area, has been grown in Mazon for 100 years.
Colour: A clear, dark ruby-red
Production: The grapes are fermented in large wooden barrels and the left to age in used tonneaux.
Degustation: Wafting notes of cherries, raspberry and strawberry. On the palate full-bodied, a harmonious fruity structure, velvety smoothness within fine tannins. A wine with a characteristically elegant and balanced aroma ending in a long finish. A simple yet elegant Blauburgunder, slightly fresher than the Pinot Nero Riserva.
Suggestions: Well suited for white meat, light starters, grilled meat and game and for light cheeses.
